Alice’s Adventures combines original song and dance with the familiar characters and verse to take us on a journey through the muddled up world of wonderland. We encounter all the best loved characters including a delightfully illuminated caterpillar, the rather sinister Cheshire cat and the white rabbit, plus the mad hatter and friends. All navigated by a perpetually confused and exasperated Alice, of course.
The nonsensical tea party was a highlight for us, as were the excellent lobsters dancing the quadrille. The high stakes croquet game with flamingos as mallets is an intense experience!
With full cast and fabulous costumes Alice’s Adventures is fascinating and fast paced entertainment. The suitability guidance recommends 5+ and I’d say that my 3 year old couldn’t follow most of what was going on. But then it’s a nonsense so there’s a lot left open to interpretation anyway!
